A Gem of the Wyoming Valley

If you haven’t noticed, downtown Pittston has become a gem of the Wyoming Valley, and nowhere is this more evident than at Riverfront Park. A short walk from the Water Street Bridge, this beautified recreational space offers a spectacular view of the Susquehanna River. Benches, wide footpaths, and sculptures fill the space, inviting visitors to take a break and relax down by the river.

Head down Kennedy Boulevard and Riverfront Park is easy to find. You can come for the annual Riverfest celebration in June, start a hike at the entrance to the Luzerne County Rail Trail, or simply hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. Stay awhile and you might even see the bald eagles that nest nearby.

The space is open to all and is a great way to get out and enjoy the city with family and friends.
