A beautiful creek-side trail

Situated along Tunkhannock Creek, Messimer Preserve covers 75 acres of dense forest. The preserve features a mostly flat, 1.5 -mile trail that runs along the creek and into Lackawanna State Park.  Visitors may use the trail for hiking, walking and for access to fishing and other recreation on the creek. Hunters with a special Conservancy permit may utilize the preserve for hunting only on the Messimer section.

The Messimer Preserve is owned and managed by the Countryside Conservancy. It is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
