Founded in 1906 by Milton S. Hershey as a leisure park for the Hershey Chocolate Company employees, today, Hersheypark is a family theme park that welcomes guests from all over the world. Actually three parks in one, kids of all ages enjoy the coasters, rides, and attractions; The Boardwalk (and water rides) at Hersheypark; and the adjacent ZooAmerica all year long.
Thrill seekers have 13 roller coasters to choose from, like the Wild Mouse, Laff Trakksm, Sidewindersm, Wildcatsm, and sooperdooperLooper®. Traditional family rides like the Carrousel, Ferris Wheel, Scrambler, Tea Cups, Whip, and Tilt-A-Whirl are time-honored favorites at Hersheypark. And, the kiddies have 20 rides to keep them entertained.
The Boardwalk at Hersheypark offers summertime fun in the form of 15 water attractions including six top-speed water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. ZooAmerica, Hersheypark’s 11-acre walk-thru zoo, features more than 200 North American animals and is open all year.
Dubbed “The Sweetest Place on Earth”, Hersheypark has nearly 40 food and beverage food stands as well as full-service dining. Chick-fil-A®, Central PA Kosher Mart, Pretzel House, Nathan’s Famous, and Subway offer savory snacks, while Dippin’ Dots, Makin’ Whoopie Pies, and the S’mores Cart will satisfy a visitor’s sweet tooth.
