Scranton’s Civil War Museum & Library

Located in the lower level of the Scranton City Hall, the Grand Army of the Republic Museum collects, preserves, and displays artifacts from the Civil War. They seek to share the contributions and sacrifices made by Union soldiers and their families.

The Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Association of Scranton runs the museum and research library. They hope to preserve this important piece of America’s history for future generations.

The museum is open on select days each month. Call or check online to confirm hours. They also have a video tour that gives you an inside look at some of the exhibits.
