Everything revolves around pizza at Gerry’s Pizzeria.

This pizza shop in Wilkes-Barre is a local hotspot, and once you taste one of their pies, you’ll understand what the hype is about. Walk into Gerry’s Pizzeria on a Friday night, and you’ll see a line of pizza makers caught up in a frenzy of tossing dough, spreading sauce, and sprinkling cheese.

The menu is pretty straightforward; they have classic pies, as well as specialties like the chicken wing pizza and vegan pizza. To get the full experience, you have to try the sweet sauce, a local favorite that puts a sugary spin on classic tomato sauce. The price can’t be beat either—you can get a plain 16-inch pie for under ten bucks.

Gerry’s does a huge take-out business, and they even have a drive-through window (trust us, you’ll be reaching for a slice before you even leave the parking lot). They also have a dining room to enjoy dinner with the family.
