The Dietrich Theater is a non-profit movie theater and cultural center located in the heart of Tunkhannock. First opened in 1937, this historic theater is open 365 days a year.

The Dietrich has four screens where they show first-run, mainstream movies. They also hold seasonal foreign and independent film festivals.

The Dietrich Theater is home to the Wyoming County Cultural Center. They host classes, exhibits, concerts, presentations and other programs for all ages. In a typical year, the theater provides 350 classes, films and events for over 70,000 people.

Many classes and events are offered free of charge so all members of the community can participate. Need-based scholarships for classes are available for children.
