Leisure, Shopping & Fun: Day Trips
You’ll find ancient Egyptian artwork, real glass slippers, and the world’s largest paperweight collection all under one roof.
The Corning Museum of Glass boasts a collection that spans over 3,500 years and encompasses everything from ancient vases to modern glass art. Interactive exhibits in the Innovation Center will show you the science and technology behind glassmaking. At the hot glassblowing demonstrations, artisans transform a molten glob of glass into a vase, bowl, or sculpture. Want to get in on the action? Attend one of the Make Your Own Glass sessions, 40-minute activities where you can create ornaments, pendants, and more.
Each ticket is valid for two consecutive days of admission. Visitors ages 17 and under get in for free. Advance reservations for the Make Your Own Glass activities are highly recommended.
