Serving Scranton Since 1923
There’s no denying it: Coney Island Lunch serves up a taste of America’s pastime with their signature Texas-style hot dogs. As downtown Scranton’s oldest restaurant, Coney Island Lunch has been named the one of best hot dog joints in America by Fox News. To add to the old-school ambiance, a large collection of baseball memorabilia adorns the walls to create the perfect taste of Americana.
At a place like this, you can’t go wrong with Texas wieners or burgers. Their hot dogs are crafted using an all-beef Berks hot dog split down the middle, grilled, served on a National Bakery roll and topped with Düsseldorf mustard, diced Spanish onions and chili sauce. They also offer cheddar cheese sauce, pickle relish and sauerkraut as additional toppings.
If hot dogs or burgers just aren’t for you, they also serve fries, soups, sandwiches, chili-con-carne and old-fashioned rice pudding.
