Leisure, Shopping & Fun: Local Shops & Boutiques
Local Market, Café, & Dollar Store
City Line in Carbondale is a general store and café with a local twist. This family-run business has been serving the community for six generations, originally beginning as Mermelstein’s in 1955. Today, they offer a spot to grab a cup of coffee, shop local, and pick up the essentials, all under one roof.
City Line’s local market is full of items from NEPA farmers, artists, and artisans. Browse through locally made treats like cheese, honey, ice cream, coffee, syrup, jams, and so much more. They also offer a great selection of local and handmade gifts, like candles, jewelry, soaps, clothing, and other unique finds.
The café at City Line is like a community hub. They serve coffee and espresso drinks from Moka Origins of Honesdale, as well as baked goods from The Mustard Seed. Grab-and-go options like salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, and soups are perfect for a quick bite. They also have slices from Tony’s Pizza of Peckville.
Last but not least, you can always stock up on the basics at City Line’s dollar store. They have everything you need, including snacks, drinks, home goods, décor, and more.
