Smile and say cheese, because Cara Mia’s business all started using a family mozzarella recipe that was created in Italy more than 80 years ago by her grandfather and has now become the restaurant’s trademark. An upscale Italian deli, Cara Mia’s Delicatessen of Dunmore is known for their gourmet subs, salads, pizza and of course, their fresh mozzarella.

Three generations of cheese making doesn’t disappoint when it comes to using the homemade fresh mozzarella on specials, entrée salads, sandwich creations like the Cara Mia Classic that comes with marinated roasted red peppers, homemade fresh mozzarella, spinach and pesto mayo served on a hoagie roll, and personal pizzas.
