Named one of the top five parks in the East by Transworld Snowboarding magazine, Big Boulder Ski Resort in Lake Harmony was the first commercial ski resort in Pennsylvania. The mountain offers thrill seekers a 475-foot vertical rise from base to summit, and 15 exciting trails including 5 terrain parks and snowtubing lanes. And there is no need to wait in line to get back up the mountain since Big Boulder operates 10 lifts including triples, doubles and carpet lifts for tubing.
The resort’s competent staff provides group and private lessons daily for children and beginners or for those just looking to practice. Affordable ski, snowboard and locker rentals are available and they even offer a tuning and repair shop.
When the mountain fun ends, head inside to one of the retail shops to pick up some Big Boulder gear or warm up in one of the resort’s many restaurants. And don’t forget, lift tickets here also grant you access to the slopes at Jack Frost Ski Resort, Big Boulder’s partner resort only ten minutes to the north.
