Three floors and over 32,000 artifacts to explore
History and art fans will be thrilled to spend a day at the Berks History Center, Museum & Library in the heart of Reading. Explore the Pennsylvania German Room, an exhibit where you will find painted chests and a dazzling array of detailed clocks. Make your way over to the Snyder Collection to see pieces of furniture made by local craftsmen. The Trades to Industry room is a notable museum favorite. It highlights farming practices and other industries throughout the county’s past. The Berks County Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors area musicians with artifacts from the 60s and 70s. In all the museum boasts three floors of gallery space filled with unique artifacts from Berks County’s storied history.
