The American Indian Cultural Center in Susquehanna displays art and artifacts from tribes across the nation, but they put a special emphasis on the locally-based Susquehannock tribe. Their collection includes historic clothing, pottery, beadwork, drums, and tools.
Check their calendar of events for art workshops and cultural classes. The American Indian Cultural Center also holds an annual All Nations Pow Wow at their grounds every September. It’s an entire weekend of traditional drumming, dancing, singing, and art.
The American Indian Cultural Center is run by the Belize Fund. This nonprofit organization assists American Indians in need, promotes art and culture, and supports schools. Your donation of nonperishable food, clothing, household items, and books will help them reach out to others.
