Ale Mary’s is the perfect way for those who love the area to dine in a building that has been part of Downtown Scranton since the 1800’s. Located in the historic Bittenbender Building, Ale Mary’s is a place where the food is great and the beer is plenty, offering a gastropub cuisine and a rotating selection of nearly 100 craft and import beers.
That’s not all. Not only is Ale Mary’s great for events and catering, but they also provide weekly entertainment from local musicians and you can even get the chance to experience a Tap Takeover of 5+ drafts where a representative comes with free samples, giveaways and raffles. And if you’re lucky, the lower level may even turn into a dance floor on a Friday or Saturday night!
Ale Mary’s offers a packed menu with a variety of both traditional dishes and twists on old favorites including different soups, salads, wings, bar bites, flatbreads, hot dogs and sandwiches. If you’re in the need for comfort food try their Mac and Cheese with aged Gouda & cheddar cheese sauce, chipotle panko and pork rind crust.
If you’re feeling on the more adventurous side, split some crab fries with a friend and follow them up with a delicious duck cheesesteak that has fire-roasted peppers, onions and sriracha aioli.
Happy hour specials on a variety of beverages run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
