For over a century, the YMCA has served Northeastern Pennsylvania

Everything the Y does is in service of making us – as individuals and as a community – better. Even through these trying times, YMCA is committed to our mission promoting programs that build strong spirit, mind, and body for all.

As we navigate through the Novel Coronavirus crisis, we will not lose sight of this mission and of the individuals and families we support. The Y is focused on fostering a sense of community and positivity via social media and other online resources.

During the current pandemic, The Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, The Greater Scranton YMCA, and the Greater Pittston YMCA are providing the following online services, open for all children and families in Northeastern PA:

For Children/Young Families

Programs via educational instructional video, e-reading sessions, STEM activities, healthy family recipes, and more.

For Adults/Families

Virtual wellness classes to keep people healthy at home.

The Y is also planning for a great summer! There are exciting events in the works, including a Kickoff to Summer event to replace Healthy Kids Day, Shark Week Celebrations, camping at Camp Kresge, and Power Scholars Academy—but with an eye to being flexible and realistic about changing conditions.
