Mission Statement
For seventy five years the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center has provided a solid foundation for the youth of our area. The CYC has developed the personalities, skills and future goals of thousands of young men and women.
The Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center (CYC) is a childcare facility and recreation center in downtown Wilkes-Barre. The CYC has provided a safe, fun, family friendly environment for the community since 1948.
The CYC offers the only 24-hour childcare center in Luzerne County, making it a crucial resource for working families. Children ages six weeks through 13 years of age can be enrolled in the 24-hour childcare program. Before and after school programs are available for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade. The CYC also offers a part-time kindergarten readiness program and summer camps.
All ages are welcome at the CYC’s fitness facilities, which include a state-of-the-art pool, two gymnasiums, two playgrounds and an outdoor park. The CYC regularly holds swim lessons, swim meets, basketball leagues and basketball clinics.
