Mission Statement
The Borough of Berwick’s Stuart Tank Committee was established to locate a Berwick-built Stuart Tank and return it to Berwick as a memorial to the workers who built them and the soldiers, Marines and Allies who rode them into battle.
The Stuart Tank Memorial Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to securing and preserving a Berwick-made Stuart Tank Memorial. The tank would serve as a monument to the workers from the American Car & Foundry in Berwick who built over 15,000 tanks for the effort during WWII. The monument will also serve to remember those who proudly rode the tanks into battle to defend their country.
The Stuart Tank Memorial Association is available for presentations to educate and inform groups, schools and organizations concerning the historical significance of the American Car & Foundry in Berwick and the Stuart Light Tank.
