Mission Statement
Our mission is to support and empower families affected by autism spectrum disorders. We work to identify services and activities specific to their needs. Our goal is to provide a sense of inclusion and opportunity for those families within the local community and the ASD community.
SAFE (Supporting Autism and Families Everywhere) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Hazleton. Since 1995, this organization has been providing members, families, caretakers and professionals with support and information pertaining to the latest interventions, educational practices, therapies and programs for individuals with ASD. They also provide opportunities for those living with ASD to overcome social barriers and enjoy group and leisure activities in the community. Their goal is to help people with autism to live full and independent lives.
SAFE offers programs and events for all ages. Membership is available and provides access to autism-friendly events and programs. Scholarships are available.
