Mission Statement

Our mission is to ease the financial burden of patients fighting their cancer battle. With the assistance of the Medical Oncology Associates in Kingston, PA, we can make this mission a success.

Puck Cancer is a nonprofit in Nanticoke that helps patients focus on healing rather than the financial burdens. Shawn Myers founded Puck Cancer in memory of his mother, Michelle Alberola Myers, who lost her battle with cancer in 2011.

Puck Cancer holds fun events to raise money for the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund. The fund helps cover the costs of medication, transportation, medical equipment, insurance premiums, home health treatments and other necessities. Puck Cancer has donated over $70,000 to go toward local cancer patients in need.

The annual Summer Festival is one of Puck Cancer’s largest fundraisers. It features a hockey tournament, food, live entertainment, raffles and kids’ games. During hockey season, they hold arena takeover nights at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins games. They also raise money through their online store.
