Mission Statement
As a branch of the Scranton Public Library, Library Express strives to enhance the lives of all individuals by offering free access to materials and programs designed to satisfy the informational and recreational needs of our community.
Library Express is so much more than a bookstore. This shop and branch library is part of the Scranton Public Library, conveniently located inside the Marketplace at Steamtown.
The front half of Library Express is a book shop that sells both new and used books at an affordable price. The other half of the store serves as a library where patrons can borrow books, DVDs, audiobooks, and other materials for free. Public computers are also available.
Library Express also hosts free programs that are open to the public. They hold activities for all ages, including story time, performances, crafts, games, open mic nights, teen events, and more.
