Mission Statement

The Hazleton Area Public Library strives to inform, enlighten and entertain all people living in Hazleton Area Communities by providing access to books, programs and materials that foster community spirit, learning and growth.

The Hazleton Area Public Library serves residents living within the Hazleton Area School District. The main library is located in downtown Hazleton, and branch libraries are located in Conyngham, Freeland, McAdoo and Nuremberg.

A library card provides free access to the library’s collection of over 160,000 books. They also have audiobooks, DVDs, magazines and newspapers. Computers and free Wi-Fi are available for public use.

The Hazleton Area Public Library hosts fun and educational programs for children, teens and adults. Regular programs include children’s storytime, writing workshops, computer classes, adult crafting sessions and family activities.
