Mission Statement

In 1980, the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary, Inc., was formed to further natural history, conservation, artistic and cultural education and to serve the people as an agency for popular enlightenment, cultural improvement and scientific progress, recognizing through its programs the essential relationship among the natural, artistic and historic elements of the area.

The Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sancutuary in White Mills is a nearly 600-acre property that protects, preserves and maintains the land for years to come. The sanctuary is open to the public and offers miles of walking trails and several historic buildings.

The sanctuary is also home to the Dorflinger Glass Museum, which preserves glass made in White Mills from 1852 to 1921. With over 900 pieces of crystal, it is the nation’s largest collection of Dorflinger glass.

The sanctuary also hosts the annual Wildflower Music Festival, an outdoor concert series held every summer.
