The Diamond City Partnership (DCP) is a nonprofit that aims to revitalize downtown Wilkes-Barre and make it a premier place to live, work and visit. They are an alliance of property owners, residents, business owners, educational leaders, local government officials and others who are committed to uplifting the city.

DCP seeks to boost the area’s economy and encourage more people to spend time downtown. They promote the city’s parks, educational institutions, arts and culture scene, recreational opportunities, small businesses and historic sites. Their projects follow Pennsylvania’s Main Street Program model.

DCP also operates the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Improvement District, which provides services for properties and businesses. DCP is funded by local nonprofits, sponsorships, grants and revenue from the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Improvement District.
