Mission Statement
As a cancer wellness and resource center, we work hard to provide support to cancer patients and their loved ones in a loving, safe and home-like environment.
At Candy’s Place in Forty Fort, no one walks alone during their battle with cancer. This cancer wellness center provides free support services to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of patients and their caregivers.
Penny Cunningham founded the nonprofit in memory of her sister, Candice Vincent-Mamary, who lost her battle with cancer in 1998. Candy envisioned a way to help other cancer patients, and Penny brought her dream to life.
Candy’s Place is a 7,000-square-foot facility filled with resources and activities. The fitness center helps patients feel their best with yoga, exercise classes and one-on-one training. Healing arts like reiki, massage therapy, facials and reflexology provide physical relief, while support groups and meditation sessions help with emotional healing. Candy’s Place also offers cancer resource materials, educational workshops and a wig and accessory boutique.
Lend a hand at Candy’s Place by becoming a volunteer, sending a donation or attending a fundraiser like their annual walk or fashion show.
