“Then She Ran” is a modern folktale musical with a swampy, folksy, bluesy score and a cast of all women, backed by an all-female/non-binary band, created by Kat Cartusciello and Alex Becker. In this tale where secrets are magic and we are all responsible for each other’s empowerment, the women must work with each other to figure out how to return home and confront the things they are each running from. This production has had various incarnations on stages across NYC including the historic 54 Below.
