Summer Soap Making 101
July 3 @ 3:00 PM
The Releafery
Scranton, PA

This workshop focuses on the basics of soap making with a summer twist! You will learn about soap safety, different methods of making soap, and some common terms related to soaping. You will then be guided through the steps of cold process soap making to create your very own batch of soap. This class is designed for beginners who want to learn the process and be creative- no experience necessary. Please note, your batch of soap will need to harden overnight and will be available for pickup starting the following day. Additionally, the bars need to cure for 4 weeks. This means they’ll need to sit and harden during that time before use.
Price includes a 2 hour workshop, use of all equipment and ingredients, and each participant will take home 4 bars of soap that you create! Please wear comfortable, older clothing and make sure arms and legs are covered. You are welcome to bring an apron if you’d like. We will be wearing safety glasses and gloves, or you are welcome to bring your own.
*Gloves are synthetic, powder free, latex and vinyl free (and recyclable!)
Age Requirement: You must be 10 years or older to take this class. If younger than 10, an adult must sign up for the class with you and regular rates apply to each individual. Not recommended for children under 7, as we will be working with caustic chemicals.
