Robert & Elizabeth Stark Art Exhibit

Robert Stark was a recipient of the Belin Arts Scholarship in 1988. He is a painter who uses a multitude of vibrant color palettes to create various works. His paintings have been in one-person exhibitions at the Phillips Collection, Cheekwood Fine Arts Center, and the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art. In addition, Robert’s paintings have traveled to over one hundred forty world capitols through the State Department Program, Art in the Embassies.
Elizabeth Major Stark is a native of Augusta, Georgia, and attended Oberlin College. She later completed her graduate degrees in Music and Law at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Following law school, Elizabeth worked in the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New Mexico. She also served as the Director of the Criminal Appeals Division for the Department of Justice and later retired as an Assistant Attorney General in 2002. In addition, Elizabeth has been a full-time painter for the past twenty years, working on larger scale oils and studies in pastel and graphite. Her works exhibited in the Small Works Gallery will be a series completed in the past two years.
The exhibit kicks off with an Opening Reception on Friday, June 17th, from 5 to 7 PM, and will run through Friday, August 5th. The Waverly Small Works Gallery is a project of the F. Lammot Belin Arts Foundation, whose mission is to provide a place for artists to show their works and promote art appreciation. The Gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM or by appointment.
