A day of fun for the whole family to celebrate the Lackawanna River at Sweeney’s Beach, Poplar St., Scranton. Come celebrate the Lackawanna River Conservation Association’s 35th anniversary with craft and food vendors, displays and exhibits, live music, and the LRCA’s 25th annual Duck-A-Thon.
On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the LRCA Ducks will challenge each other on the Lackawanna River to the finish line of the 2022 Duck-A-Thon.
The cash prizes of $500, $250, $100 will be announced from the entries of the winning duck number and the lucky person will be chosen, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively.
The courageous LRCA flock of ten “duckies” will launch on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 3 PM just upstream of Sweeney’s Beach Recreation Area into the waters of the Lackawanna River for an exciting race to the finish. These fiercely competitive racers will slog it out for the pole position for that famous feathery dash to the checkered flag!
Ducks tickets are available for $5 individual duck, $10 for a gaggle of three or $20 for a flock of eight.
