This story time-art-studio-mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones, ages 2-6. Storytime ignited preschoolers’ imaginations for creating hands-on art activities exploring colorful book themes and characters. Build language skills, color recognition, and small motor skills. $2 material fee plus Museum admission.
September 18th: “Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn” By: Kenard Pak– Goodbye summer! The weather is getting cooler and the leaves are changing! It’s time to make some leaf art like you’ve never seen! We will be using liquid watercolor and coffee filters to make these fun leaf garlands to hang in your home.
October 30th: “Little Blue Truck’s Halloween” By Alice Schertle- It’s almost Halloween and it’s time to decorate! We will be painting pumpkins to put on display as well as creating spooky pumpkin masterpieces full of surprises.
November 20th: “Pete The Cat The Frist Thanksgiving” By Kimberly and James Dean- Turkey day is just around the corner and you know what that means?? It’s time to bring your stretchy pants because there will be lots of yummy food to eat. For this art and storytime class, we will be taking food and turning it into ART. Join us to watch (and create) the magic unfold.
December 18th: “Snowmen at Night” By Caralyn Buehner- For this art and storytime class it’s all about SNOW. Do you like building snowmen? Then you will love this book! For this class, we will make our very own snow and create beautiful snowflakes.
