Outdoor Marketplace at JCC
Looking for something to do on Sundays? How about taking a ride to Kingston to check out the new Marketplace at the Friedman JCC? Their vendors sell items such as fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, oils, new and slightly used apparel, antiques and collectibles, equipment, jewelry, and much much more.
A few spaces for vendors remain. Those interested can contact event organizer, Sharon Matylewicz, Senior Resource Director, at 570-824-4646 x 211 or [email protected].
Matylewicz says, “After the long months of sheltering in place, we wanted to create an event to get people outside and supporting community artists, artisans and merchants in a safe way. The large parking lot at the JCC allows for many vendors and for people to browse and shop in a socially distant manner.”
The Friedman JCC, the Center for Everyone, opened the doors of its bright, new facility in 2019. Designed to be vibrant and welcoming, the 57,000 sq. ft. facility features a full gym with for basketball, pickle ball, squash and other court sports, a state-of-the-art social hall for lectures and programmed events, multiple meeting rooms, catering and dining from both kosher and non-kosher kitchens, a relaxing outdoor patio, and so much more.
