NEPA HORROR FEST TO SCREEN PET SEMATARY AND HOST MEET & GREET WITH FILM STAR, MIKO HUGHES
On Saturday, June 25, 2022, from Noon to Midnight, the NEPA Horror Fest and Scranton DIY Punk Collective will host this year’s spookiest summer celebration, the NEPA Horror Fest 2022 (Spooky Summer II) at the Circle Drive-In at 1911 Scranton-Carbondale Highway in Dickson City, PA, 18508. During the day, this bi-annual (June and October each year) all-day event combines a punk rock flea market with dozens of alternative visual artists and live music performances from local, regional, and touring acts, as well as celebrity meet & greets, and at night, feature-length and independent short horror and cult-classic films presented on the drive-in screen.
The headlining feature-film this year is the 1989 supernatural horror film, PET SEMATARY, directed by Mary Lambert and adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name. The film follows the tragic story of the Creed family and a mysterious cemetery that leads to the beginning of an unthinkable evil to return again and again. With this screening, we are excited to announce a special meet & greet with one of the film’s stars, MIKO HUGHES, who played the character Gage Creed in the film. Hughes is also known for his roles in Kindergarten Cop (1990), Apollo 13 (1995), Spawn (1997), Mercury Rising (1998), Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994), as well as his recurring role as Aaron on the television show, Full House, from 1990 to 1995. We will announce the time of the meet & greet closer to June, which will take place on the grounds of the Circle Drive-In prior to the film screenings.
