Celebrate the New Year with a winter hike and bonfire at the beautiful George and Lillian Picton Wildlife Sanctuary in White Haven, PA. NBLT staffer, Paula Fall, will guide us. Depending upon the snow depth, Paula will lead us on an easy one-mile hike around Lillian’s pond OR an easy to moderate 3-mile hike around Lillian’s pond and up Split Rock trail.
Registration is required and the deadline is Thursday, January 3, by 5:00 pm. Please register by calling the NBLT office at 570-310-1781, emailing [email protected], or register online at www.nblt.org/events
Wear sturdy shoes or boots for hiking, and if there is snow, bring your snowshoes and/or cross-country skis. Children are welcome, but please note that this preserve does not have indoor facilities.
If Mother Nature decides to send severe weather conditions our way on January 5, we will, unfortunately, need to cancel this hike.
