This will be the ninth annual international Girls in Aviation Day and our local chapter’s third event. The event is occurring all across the WAI network around the world. Every chapter is bringing the passion, exploration, learning, and excitement of aviation and aerospace to their event! The purpose of Girls in Aviation Day is to teach young girls about the possibilities within the world of aviation.

NEPA Girls in Aviation Day 2023 will consist of static aircraft displays, kids STEM activities, seminars for kids, and more. The event will be focused on “fun” with the intention of opening the doors of the Wyoming Valley Airport to young girls across Northeastern Pennsylvania!
