ArtFest returns to Bloomsburg’s Square!
The thirteenth annual ArtFest will take place on Saturday, the 22nd of August, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in its wonderful location on the Town Square, from the fountain up Market Street to Ridge Avenue and continuing up towards First Street. We will have more than 50 artists exhibiting and non-profit organizations taking part, along with regional musical acts and food trucks. The new location got rave reviews its first three years, and we look forward to the show there again in 2020.
New for 2020: music after ArtFest, at 7 p.m., with Tas Cru and Gabe Stillman at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 Market Street, right next to ArtFest. More details, including about tickets, yet to come; keep an eye on ExchangeArts.org/10th-anniversary.
If you would like to exhibit at the show, please visit ExchangeArts.org/artfest-exhibitors for instructions.
Dedicated to bringing the arts to all communities throughout our region, The Exchange again presents Columbia County’s biggest one-day outdoor art event of the year.
A summertime art party, ArtFest draws attendees from throughout our region, and it draws artists from near and far as well. Exhibitors include painters, photographers, potters, jewelers, sculptors, glass artists, fabric artists, woodworkers, a bonsai grower, and more.
Activities for families at the event include The Exchange’s Art Cart, using simple materials – many of them recycled – to help bring out the beauty inside every person; the Fishing Creek Watershed Association will also have a Container Garden contest, and the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership will display photographs of our beautiful region.
The Exchange thanks the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau and Downtown Bloomsburg, Inc., for their sponsorship of ArtFest; the event also receives support from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
