Equines For Freedom (EFF) and the Johnson Family are excited to announce our 6th Annual EFF Golf Tournament. This yearly event is held in honor of William “Bill” Johnson, a Vietnam Veteran who suffered from PTSD and eventually lost his life because of his exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam.
The tournament will be held on Friday, August 13th, 2021 at Irem Country Club, 70 Ridgway Drive, Dallas, PA. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Shotgun start to the tournament scheduled for 11:00. Golf play will be arranged in a Captain and Crew Format.
The registration fee for the day is $100 and includes lunch, the use of a golf cart, a buffet dinner (by Pierce Street Deli), a cash bar, and prizes.
There are sponsorship opportunities available for this event and EFF is gratefully accepting raffle donations.
The Johnson family donates 100% of the proceeds from this event to EFF, an organization which provides free, horse-assisted, therapy services to military veterans (regardless of status) and first responders experiencing PTSD. EFF therapy entails Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This EMDR therapy enables clients to process trauma irrespective of when it occurred. Interacting with horses proves beneficial because the horses can detect changes in the client’s emotional state and react in such a way that clients are able to remain present and grounded during their therapy sessions.
