The Fire Department employs 13 full-time and 10 part-time firefighters at two station houses. All of the Plains Township firefighters are hazardous materials trained and certified in basic first aid and AED.

Further up Wyoming Mountain on Plains Township’s eastern edge, you’ll find the Seven Tubs Nature Area. This popular hiking trail follows the cascading Wheelbarrow Run Stream as it drops into naturally worn waterfalls and tubs. It’s the perfect place for a sunny weekend hike.
