Weekend Round-Up 05.31.19

Let's Get This Summer Started, NEPA

There’s something special about June. It brings with it warmer weather, the end of school, and the start of one of life’s greatest pleasures – summer. As we spend more time together and embrace the carefree vibe of summer, we’re always looking for new things to do. Luckily there’s a lot going on in NEPA this weekend.

Learn about NEPA heritage all weekend long at the inaugural Lackawanna County Heritage Fair. With daily learning events, shows, and Montage waterpark fun, this event is perfect for the whole family. Grab your gear, your little fishermen and go for the big one at Lackawanna State Park during the annual kid’s fishing derby.

Have fun you can feel good about this weekend. The Anthracite Heritage Museum’s Cask for a Cause event at Cooper’s combines fundraising with a firkin of beer. All proceeds will benefit the museum. Give back to Mother Nature at the Get Trashed River Cleanup in Honesdale. Then, head over to Here & Now Brewing Co. for some after party fun.

Get close to the action at Pocono Raceway’s Tricky Triangle with the Monster Energy Free Friday. All you have to do is recycle a can of Monster at the Main Gate and you’re in.

Summer is for festivals. Jam out to some iconic American Bluegrass at Lazybrook Park’s annual Bluegrass Festival. And kick back with stunning vineyard views. Blue Mountain Resort and Maiolatesi Wine Cellars are throwing wine festivals with tastings, entertainment, and more.

Mark your calendars for:
