Harvesting Good Times at the Pennsylvania Farm Show

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is back for its 106th year. After the first-ever virtual show in 2021, the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center is once again filled with exhibitions, vendors, demonstrations and, of course, adorable animals. We took a mini road trip to Harrisburg to see what it truly means to “Harvest More.”

With so much to see, you might need two or three trips around the Expo Center to take it all in… we certainly did! In the Main Hall, you’ll find vendors, sustainable farming displays and even the famous 1,000-pound butter sculpture.

What’s a Pennsylvania Farm Show without delicious food? Head over to the Giant Expo Hall and hit the food court. With ingredients sourced from local farms, there are plenty of dishes to try. Whether you’re going for something new and unique or an old favorite, like a PA Dairymen’s Association milkshake, there’s no way you’ll leave hungry.

Of course, you can’t miss the stars of the show: the animals. From the East Hall to the West Hall, there are thousands of furry (and a few feathery) friends to see. From the biggest prize-winning cow to the smallest chick, you’re bound to leave with a photo gallery full of sweet faces. Don’t worry, we couldn’t resist them either.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is located at 2300 North Cameron Street in Harrisburg at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. Admission is free, but parking passes are $15. The Farm Show runs through January 15. Be sure to refer to the schedule for specific events, times and locations.

Check out these photos from our trip for some of the show’s highlights. You might even be inspired to plan your own visit.
