It Just Wouldn't Be a Proper NEPA Summer Without a Visit to Your Favorite Farmers' Markets
Keep it fresh. Keep it healthy. Keep it local.
There’s no better place to get that fresh, sweet corn on the cob. And you just won’t find plumper, juicier tomatoes or zestier, crunchier peppers at the grocery store. NEPA’s local farmers’ markets feature fresh fruits and vegetables, locally made goods and so much more. And it’s all grown right here in rich Pennsylvania soil.
Soon, farmers’ markets will be up and running all over Northeastern Pennsylvania. And in many towns, these unique markets have become exciting weekly community events. Aside from dozens of produce stalls, many markets also include local food vendors, live music and fun activities for children. And, depending on the market, you might even be able to catch an occasional planting or crafting demonstration.
Enjoy the freshest fruits and veggies all summer long, and join us in celebrating this time-honored NEPA tradition. We’ve rounded up a list of local markets. So get out there and reward yourself with the spoils of another successful harvest.
