Whether you’ve come to our page this year to view our events calendar, find the perfect hiking trail, or try a new restaurant, we’re thrilled we can always help you find your next NEPA adventure.
We look forward to another year of sharing our love of NEPA with you. But before that, we want to help you prepare to send off 2023 with a bang. Whether you’re looking to celebrate the year gone by or new beginnings, we’ve got you covered. We’ve rounded up some of NEPA’s hottest NYE events below.
Bloomsburg, PA
New Year’s Eve is for the kids, too! Join Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for their 6th Annual Countdown to Noon. This year, this family-friendly event will have an appearance from Princess Belle and music by Kerry Kenny.
Bloomsburg, PA
Start this day of celebration off right with a delicious hearty brunch at Brewskis Coffee & Bar in Bloomsburg. You can also expect great music from local bands.
Luzerne, PA
Get a head start on your resolution and participate in this annual 5K that takes place on the Back Mountain Trail in Luzerne. Check in begins at 2:30 p.m., and it costs $40 to participate.
Hawley, PA
Join Glass—wine. bar. kitchen. in Hawley for a grandiose New Year’s party by the waterfall. Enjoy live music and an exquisite tasting menu consisting of five courses.
Dunmore, PA
Enjoy a tasty dinner buffet, 4 hours of open bar and a hilarious comedy show and a ball drop at this New Year’s Eve celebration in the ballroom at the Holiday Inn in Dunmore. The party also includes music, party favors and a champagne toast.

Hotel Anthracite in Carbondale is hosting a New Year’s Eve Ball in their Gravity Hall. Enjoy live music from DJ Francesco and Lakinis Rooster along with various food stations and more.
Wilkes-Barre, PA
NEPA-born band Cabinet will be bringing their unique sound to the F.M. Kirby Center for Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre this New Year’s Eve. Come enjoy their hits, which they describe as a combination of multiple genres to create “a patchwork American quilt”.
Hawley, PA
Rock the mountain at Slopeside Pub & Grill at Blue Mountain Resort this New Year’s Eve. Make a reservation and grab a bite to eat from their delicious menu before the partying begins.
Jim Thorpe, PA
Dance the night away at Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe with NEPA-born band Hunkajunk. The 7-9 piece band of talented musicians play select retro hits, modern classics, and original jams, so it’s sure to be a rocking good time.
Wilkes-Barre, PA
M80 will be bringing the fun at The Woodlands this New Year’s Eve. Rock out to the best of the 80s with this popular, award-winning cover band.
Scranton, PA
Join pop punk cover band, Dance Hall Devils, at The V Spot Bar in Scranton this New Year’s Eve. Rock out of 2023 to accurate renditions of songs from bands such as Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore.
Wilkes-Barre, PA
Ring in the New Year with comedians Julia Scotti, Mike Stankiewicz, and Scott Bruce at Wise Crackers Comedy Club in Wilkes-Barre. Join them for a night full of laughs, celebratory party favors, and the traditional midnight champagne toast.
Tannersville, PA
Book a room at Camelback Mountain Resorts and experience their thrilling NYE Glow Bash. This event is a family-friendly one, so bring the kiddos and enjoy a night filled with music and crafts.
Mount Pocono, PA
Dance the night away at Mount Airy Casino in the Pocono Mountains at their New Year’s Eve Starry Night Celebration. The event costs $35 and will feature live music from Into the Spin, DJ Mike Walton, a photo booth, the traditional champagne toast at midnight, and much more.
Hazleton, PA
Close out 2023 with a bang at Louis Schiavo City View Park in Hazleton. They will be putting on a wonderful display of fireworks that you could enjoy from the comfort of your own car.

The Two Taboo will be rocking New Year’s Eve at The 80s Bar in Lansford. Guests are invited to wear their best PJs and bring in the new year in style (sort of).
Tannersville, PA
Hemispheres Restaurant, located in Camelback Mountain Resorts, is serving up a massive buffet this New Year’s Eve. This delicious buffet costs $59.95 per adult and $25.95 for children ages six to twelve.
