Explore the Gourd-geous Grounds at Dundee Gardens
Welcome to a world of hayrides, haunts and Halloween fun.
Dundee Gardens in Hanover Township is always decked out for the holidays, and Halloween is no exception. Every weekend in October, this family-run garden center hosts Pumpkinland, a fall festival that’s full of family fun.
For over 30 years, Pumpkinland has been a Valley tradition.
As a third-generation business, Dundee Gardens keeps tradition at the heart of everything they do. They’ve hosted Pumpkinland for over 30 years, making it a hallmark of the Halloween season. Many locals who grew up coming to Pumpkinland now bring their own children.
One of the iconic attractions is the Haunted Barn, which has been around since the festival started. The spooks and scares inside have changed over the years, but the familiar mural on the outside always brings back memories. Parents remember how they scared themselves silly on their first trip through the haunted halls. Now they get to relive the fun and excitement as they walk through the barn with their kids.
Check off everything on your autumn to-do list.
There’s festive fall fun around every corner, from the classic cornstalk maze to the pony rides. The kids will have a blast playing in the hay toss, exploring the teepee and finding their way through the monster maze.
The kids don’t get to have all the fun. No matter what age, you can’t resist taking an old-fashioned hayride through the autumn leaves. And with the live music and local food vendors, you can easily make a day of it.
The perfect pumpkin is waiting.
Wandering through the rows of pumpkins can feel like you’re in the middle of a fairytale. Dundee Gardens has just about every shape and size imaginable, from mini jack-be-littles to pumpkins that are so huge, the kids will need help carrying them back to the car. You’ll find colors ranging from classic orange to ghostly white to spooky green. The choices are endless, but one thing’s for sure: you’ll have to coolest jack-o-lanterns on the block.
Fall days don’t get any better than this.
Pumpkinland is all about affordable family fun. Admission is free, and tickets to the attractions range from $1-3.
Keep a family tradition alive (or maybe even start a new one) at Dundee Gardens. Pumpkinland will be open for its final weekend on October 26 and October 27 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Kids are welcome to wear their costumes.
