Picture This: Summer on the Trolley Trail

Follow the Old Trolley Line

We recently took a walk along the Trolley Trail, a rail trail that connects Clarks Summit and Dalton. Countryside Conservancy created the trail along the corridor of the Northern Electric Trolley, which operated from 1908 to 1932.

The trail is 2.8 miles one way and consists of boardwalks, earthen paths and gravel railbeds. The smooth, flat grade makes it a relaxing walk for all ages.

The Trolley Trail has an additional segment in La Plume. Countryside Conservancy hopes to keep adding to the trail and connecting it to more of their preserves in the Abingtons.
