Picture This: Summer Hike at Shuman Point

Explore the Shores of Lake Wallenpaupack
Lake Wallenpaupack is always a hotspot for summer fun. But beyond the boats and jet skis, it’s nice to just enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake at Shuman Point. This natural area is one of the last undeveloped spots on the lakeshore, offering the perfect place to escape into nature.
We took a hike around the loop trail, which is about 3.5 miles long. The trail took us through the forest (where we came across some NEPA wildlife) and along the shoreline for views of the lake.
Shuman Point is located off of Purdytown Turnpike in Lakeville. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re leashed.
