Picture This: Scranton St. Patrick’s Day Parade Beer Release

A New Scranton St. Paddy’s Tradition

It’s never too early for parade day shenanigans in Scranton. We popped into The Backyard Ale House this weekend for the release of Scranton’s official parade day beer.

The St. Patrick’s Parade Association of Lackawanna County along with Flying Fish Brewing Company have teamed up to offer Paddy’s Pale. The crisp, festive pale ale was created to honor the tradition of St. Patrick’s Day parades all over NEPA. The celebration kicked off on Sunday with an official “Tapping of the Keg.” The good times continued with live acoustic sets from locals, Black Tie Stereo.

Look for Paddy’s Pale at various bars and distributors throughout the region. This year’s beer will be made available in half kegs, sixtels and cans.
