The Napa Valley Experience Comes to NEPA
On September 14, we hopped aboard the NEPA Valley Wine Train, an annual train ride that benefits the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce. Visitors took a scenic ride through Lackawanna County and stopped for food and wine samples along the way.
The train departed from the Carbondale station and made stops in Archbald, Jessup and Dickson City. At each platform, guests enjoyed tastings from NEPA’s wineries, food samples from local restaurants and live music. Local historian Dr. S. Robert Powell shared stories about the region’s railroading past between stops.
