Picture This: Hiking at the Francis E. Walter Dam

Take a Walk Along the Water With Us

We recently did a little sightseeing at the Francis E. Walter Dam in White Haven. This recreational area is known for its 80-acre reservoir, which is a water source for the Lehigh River and a popular spot for boating and fishing.

We hit the hiking trails to get some of the best views of the water. Spring fishing season was in full swing, and we spotted anglers casting their lines into the creek. We took a loop through the forest, around the wetlands and up to the vista, where we got a sweeping view of the Poconos stretching for miles toward the horizon.

We wanted to bring the views to you. Check out our photos and plan your own outdoor adventure at a trail or park near you.
