An Iconic Aircraft Soars Over the Wyoming Valley
On Saturday, September 7, we got a bird’s-eye view of NEPA from the famous Goodyear Blimp. The blimp landed at Wyoming Valley Airport in Forty Fort to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Jack Williams Tire & Auto Service Centers.
Jack Williams employees, customers and local media boarded the gondola of the giant, 246-foot airship. The blimp cruised through the sky at about 1,500 feet, offering views of the bustling towns, rolling mountains and the mighty Susquehanna River. Passengers marveled at the views while the blimp gently bobbed in the breeze like a boat.
The Goodyear Blimp travels all around the country. It remains in town through September 9. Keep your eyes on the skies to spot this amazing icon.
