Exhibition Honors New York Artists of the ‘80s and ‘90s
We visited the Everhart Museum on the opening day of Forming the Maslow Collection: A Reflection on the New York City Art Scene in the ‘80s and ‘90s. This exhibition displays works by 30 different artists, including Andy Warhol.
Forming the Maslow Collection captures a pivotal moment in art history and shows how it continues to inspire artists today. It features select pieces influenced by changing technology, globalization, industry and pop culture of the era. Represented genres include abstractionism, conceptualism, documentary photography, minimalism, neo-expressionism and pop art.
Forming the Maslow Collection opened on February 7 and will remain on display through May 25.
