The Greenhouse Project Celebrates Final Summer Market of the Season

The Greenhouse Project and the Lackawanna County Arts & Culture Department brought some mid-week fun to Nay Aug Park in Scranton. Every Wednesday this summer, the Farm Arts Market has celebrated fresh food and the creative arts. We stopped by to catch the last one of the season.

The event included a farmers’ market featuring local growers, artisans, vendors and makers. Thanks to the late-summer harvest, there was tons of fresh, seasonal produce.

The event also offered a family-friendly arts workshop with a different theme each week. When we visited, artist Christine Medley was leading a printing workshop where participants made their own nature-inspired prints with gel plates and plants.

Check out our photos from this week’s market, and make sure to follow The Greenhouse Project for updates on fun and healthy events in the future.
