Chalk Art Brightens Up the City Sidewalks
Earlier today, we stopped at the 10th Annual ChalkFest at River Common in Wilkes-Barre. The community came together and decorated the sidewalks with colorful chalk art. Riverfront Parks Committee organized the event and provided free chalk to all of the kids.
The event also aimed to reconnect people with the outdoors. Environmental exhibits, animal shows and a family fishing program inspired kids to protect the planet. A free kids’ yoga session and live music kept the fun rolling all afternoon.
ChalkFest was the perfect opportunity to relax by the river and embrace the city’s creative side. Check out the artwork here:
